Psalm 115

RHE 1 (113-9) Not to us, O Lord, not to us; but to thy name give glory. NIV 1 Not to us, LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness. RHE 2 (113-10) For thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake: lest the Gentiles should say: Where is their God? NIV 2 Why do the nations say, “Where is their God?” RHE 3 (113-11) But our God is in heaven: he hath done all things whatsoever he would. NIV 3 Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him. RHE 4 (113-12) The idols of the Gentiles are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men. NIV 4 But their idols are silver and gold, made by human hands. RHE 5 (113-13) They have mouths and speak not: they have eyes and see not. NIV 5 They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot see. RHE 6 (113-14) They have ears and hear not: they have noses and smell not. NIV 6 They have ears, but cannot hear, noses, but cannot smell. RHE 7 (113-15) They have hands and feel not: they have feet and walk not: neither shall they cry out through their throat. NIV 7 They have hands, but cannot feel, feet, but cannot walk, nor can they utter a sound with their throats. RHE 8 (113-16) Let them that make them become like unto them: and all such as trust in them. NIV 8 Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them. RHE 9 (113-17) The house of Israel hath hoped in the Lord: he is their helper and their protector. NIV 9 All you Israelites, trust in the LORD— he is their help and shield. RHE 10 (113-18) The house of Aaron hath hoped in the Lord: he is their helper and their protector. NIV 10 House of Aaron, trust in the LORD— he is their help and shield. RHE 11 (113-19) They that fear the Lord have hoped in the Lord: he is their helper and their protector. NIV 11 You who fear him, trust in the LORD— he is their help and shield. RHE 12 (113-20) The Lord hath been mindful of us, and hath blessed us. He hath blessed the house of Israel: he hath blessed the house of Aaron. NIV 12 The LORD remembers us and will bless us: He will bless his people Israel, he will bless the house of Aaron, RHE 13 (113-21) He hath blessed all that fear the Lord, both little and great. NIV 13 he will bless those who fear the LORD— small and great alike. RHE 14 (113-22) May the Lord add blessings upon you: upon you, and upon your children. NIV 14 May the LORD cause you to flourish, both you and your children. RHE 15 (113-23) Blessed be you of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. NIV 15 May you be blessed by the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. RHE 16 (113-24) The heaven of heaven is the Lord’s: but the earth he has given to the children of men. NIV 16 The highest heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth he has given to mankind. RHE 17 (113-25) The dead shall not praise thee, O Lord: nor any of them that go down to hell. NIV 17 It is not the dead who praise the LORD, those who go down to the place of silence; RHE 18 (113-26) But we that live bless the Lord: from this time now and for ever. NIV 18 it is we who extol the LORD, both now and forevermore. Praise the LORD.
