Psalm 139:1-6

CEB 1 LORD, you have examined me. You know me. NRS 1 O Lord, you have searched me and known me. CEB 2 You know when I sit down and when I stand up. Even from far away, you comprehend my plans. NRS 2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away. CEB 3 You study my traveling and resting. You are thoroughly familiar with all my ways. NRS 3 You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. CEB 4 There isn't a word on my tongue, LORD, that you don't already know completely. NRS 4 Even before a word is on my tongue, O Lord, you know it completely. CEB 5 You surround me—front and back. You put your hand on me. NRS 5 You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. CEB 6 That kind of knowledge is too much for me; it's so high above me that I can't fathom it. NRS 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is so high that I cannot attain it.

Psalm 139:13-18

CEB 13 You are the one who created my innermost parts; you knit me together while I was still in my mother's womb. NRS 13 For it was you who formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother's womb. CEB 14 I give thanks to you that I was marvelously set apart. Your works are wonderful—I know that very well. NRS 14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; that I know very well. CEB 15 My bones weren't hidden from you when I was being put together in a secret place, when I was being woven together in the deep parts of the earth. NRS 15 My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. CEB 16 Your eyes saw my embryo, and on your scroll every day was written that was being formed for me, before any one of them had yet happened. NRS 16 Your eyes beheld my unformed substance. In your book were written all the days that were formed for me, when none of them as yet existed. CEB 17 God, your plans are incomprehensible to me! Their total number is countless! NRS 17 How weighty to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! CEB 18 If I tried to count them—they outnumber grains of sand! If I came to the very end—I'd still be with you. NRS 18 I try to count them—they are more than the sand; I come to the end —I am still with you.
