Psalm 22:9-29

GW 9 Indeed, you are the one who brought me out of the womb, the one who made me feel safe at my mother's breasts. NIV 9 Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made me trust in you, even at my mother’s breast. GW 10 I was placed in your care from birth. From my mother's womb you have been my God. NIV 10 From birth I was cast on you; from my mother’s womb you have been my God. GW 11 Do not be so far away from me. Trouble is near, and there is no one to help. NIV 11 Do not be far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help. GW 12 Many bulls have surrounded me. Strong bulls from Bashan have encircled me. NIV 12 Many bulls surround me; strong bulls of Bashan encircle me. GW 13 They have opened their mouths to attack me like ferocious, roaring lions. NIV 13 Roaring lions that tear their prey open their mouths wide against me. GW 14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax. It has melted within me. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You lay me down in the dust of death. They have pierced my hands and feet. NIV 16 Dogs surround me, a pack of villains encircles me; they pierce my hands and my feet. GW 17 I can count all my bones. People stare. They gloat over me. NIV 17 All my bones are on display; people stare and gloat over me. GW 18 They divide my clothes among themselves. They throw dice for my clothing. NIV 18 They divide my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment. GW 19 Do not be so far away, O LORD. Come quickly to help me, O my strength. NIV 19 But you, LORD, do not be far from me. You are my strength; come quickly to help me. GW 20 Rescue my soul from the sword, my life from vicious dogs. NIV 20 Deliver me from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dogs. GW 21 Save me from the mouth of the lion and from the horns of wild oxen. You have answered me. NIV 21 Rescue me from the mouth of the lions; save me from the horns of the wild oxen. GW 22 I will tell my people about your name. I will praise you within the congregation. NIV 22 I will declare your name to my people; in the assembly I will praise you. GW 23 All who fear the LORD, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, glorify him! Stand in awe of him, all you descendants of Israel. NIV 23 You who fear the LORD, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, honor him! Revere him, all you descendants of Israel! GW 24 The LORD has not despised or been disgusted with the plight of the oppressed one. He has not hidden his face from that person. The LORD heard when that oppressed person cried out to him for help. NIV 24 For he has not despised or scorned the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help. GW 25 My praise comes from you while I am among those assembled for worship. I will fulfill my vows in the presence of those who fear the LORD. NIV 25 From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly; before those who fear you I will fulfill my vows. GW 26 Oppressed people will eat until they are full. Those who look to the LORD will praise him. May you live forever. NIV 26 The poor will eat and be satisfied; those who seek the LORD will praise him— may your hearts live forever! GW 27 All the ends of the earth will remember and return to the LORD. All the families from all the nations will worship you NIV 27 All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, GW 28 because the kingdom belongs to the LORD and he rules the nations. NIV 28 for dominion belongs to the LORDand he rules over the nations. GW 29 All prosperous people on earth will eat and worship. All those who go down to the dust will kneel in front of him, even those who are barely alive. NIV 29 All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him— those who cannot keep themselves alive.
