CEB 1 I offer my life to you, LORD. NRS 1 To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. CEB 2 My God, I trust you. Please don't let me be put to shame! Don't let my enemies rejoice over me! NRS 2 O my God, in you I trust; do not let me be put to shame; do not let my enemies exult over me. CEB 3 For that matter, don't let anyone who hopes in you be put to shame; instead, let those who are treacherous without excuse be put to shame. NRS 3 Do not let those who wait for you be put to shame; let them be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous. CEB 4 Make your ways known to me, LORD; teach me your paths. NRS 4 Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. CEB 5 Lead me in your truth—teach it to me— because you are the God who saves me. I put my hope in you all day long. NRS 5 Lead me in your truth, and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all day long. CEB 6 LORD, remember your compassion and faithful love— they are forever! NRS 6 Be mindful of your mercy, O Lord, and of your steadfast love, for they have been from of old. CEB 7 But don't remember the sins of my youth or my wrongdoing. Remember me only according to your faithful love for the sake of your goodness, LORD. NRS 7 Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for your goodness' sake, O Lord! CEB 8 The LORD is good and does the right thing; he teaches sinners which way they should go. NRS 8 Good and upright is the Lord; therefore he instructs sinners in the way. CEB 9 God guides the weak to justice, teaching them his way. NRS 9 He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way. CEB 10 All the LORD's paths are loving and faithful for those who keep his covenant and laws. NRS 10 All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep his covenant and his decrees. CEB 11 Please, for the sake of your good name, LORD, forgive my sins, which are many! NRS 11 For your name's sake, O Lord, pardon my guilt, for it is great. CEB 12 Where are the ones who honor the LORD? God will teach them which path to take. NRS 12 Who are they that fear the Lord? He will teach them the way that they should choose. CEB 13 They will live a good life, and their descendants will possess the land. NRS 13 They will abide in prosperity, and their children shall possess the land. CEB 14 The LORD counsels those who honor him; he makes his covenant known to them. NRS 14 The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him, and he makes his covenant known to them. CEB 15 My eyes are always looking to the LORD because he will free my feet from the net. NRS 15 My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for he will pluck my feet out of the net. CEB 16 Turn to me, God, and have mercy on me because I'm alone and suffering. NRS 16 Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. CEB 17 My heart's troubles keep getting bigger— set me free from my distress! NRS 17 Relieve the troubles of my heart, and bring me out of my distress. CEB 18 Look at my suffering and trouble— forgive all my sins! NRS 18 Consider my affliction and my trouble, and forgive all my sins. CEB 19 Look at how many enemies I have and how violently they hate me! NRS 19 Consider how many are my foes, and with what violent hatred they hate me. CEB 20 Please protect my life! Deliver me! Don't let me be put to shame because I take refuge in you. NRS 20 O guard my life, and deliver me; do not let me be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. CEB 21 Let integrity and virtue guard me because I hope in you. NRS 21 May integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for you. CEB 22 Please, God, save Israel from all its troubles! NRS 22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all its troubles.
