Psalm 36

JUB 1 The rebellion of the wicked saith to my heart that there is no fear of God before his eyes. NIV 1 I have a message from God in my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked:There is no fear of God before their eyes. JUB 2 For he flatters himself in his own eyes until his iniquity is found to be hateful. NIV 2 In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin. JUB 3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit; he has left off to be wise and to do good. NIV 3 The words of their mouths are wicked and deceitful; they fail to act wisely or do good. JUB 4 He devises iniquity upon his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he does not abhor evil. NIV 4 Even on their beds they plot evil; they commit themselves to a sinful course and do not reject what is wrong. JUB 5 Thy mercy, O LORD, reaches unto the heavens, and thy truth reaches unto the clouds. NIV 5 Your love, LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. JUB 6 Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; thy judgments are a great deep; O LORD, thou dost preserve man and beast. NIV 6 Your righteousness is like the highest mountains, your justice like the great deep. You, LORD, preserve both people and animals. JUB 7 How excellent is thy mercy, O God! therefore the sons of Adam cover themselves in the shadow of thy wings. NIV 7 How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings. JUB 8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house, and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. NIV 8 They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights. JUB 9 For with thee is the fountain of life; in thy light shall we see light. NIV 9 For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light. JUB 10 Extend thy mercy unto those that know thee and thy righteousness to the upright in heart. NIV 10 Continue your love to those who know you, your righteousness to the upright in heart. JUB 11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me. NIV 11 May the foot of the proud not come against me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away. JUB 12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen; they are cast down and shall not be able to rise. NIV 12 See how the evildoers lie fallen— thrown down, not able to rise!
