Psalm 82:1-7

WEB 1 God presides in the great assembly. He judges among the gods. NIV 1 God presides in the great assembly; he renders judgment among the “gods”: WEB 2 "How long will you judge unjustly, And show partiality to the wicked?" Selah. NIV 2 “How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked? WEB 3 "Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. NIV 3 Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. WEB 4 Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked." NIV 4 Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. WEB 5 They don't know, neither do they understand. They walk back and forth in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken. NIV 5 “The ‘gods’ know nothing, they understand nothing. They walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken. WEB 6 I said, "You are gods, All of you are sons of the Most High. NIV 6 “I said, ‘You are “gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.’ WEB 7 Nevertheless you shall die like men, And fall like one of the rulers." NIV 7 But you will die like mere mortals; you will fall like every other ruler.”
