KJV 1 O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. NIV 1 Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. KJV 2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. NIV 2 Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. KJV 3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. NIV 3 Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. KJV 4 Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. NIV 4 Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. KJV 5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; NIV 5 Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced, KJV 6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen. NIV 16 He called down famine on the land and destroyed all their supplies of food; KJV 17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant: NIV 17 and he sent a man before them— Joseph, sold as a slave. KJV 18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: NIV 18 They bruised his feet with shackles, his neck was put in irons, KJV 19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him. NIV 19 till what he foretold came to pass, till the word of the LORD proved him true. KJV 20 The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free. NIV 20 The king sent and released him, the ruler of peoples set him free. KJV 21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance: NIV 21 He made him master of his household, ruler over all he possessed, KJV 22 To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom. NIV 22 to instruct his princes as he pleased and teach his elders wisdom. KJV 23 Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham. NIV 23 Then Israel entered Egypt; Jacob resided as a foreigner in the land of Ham. KJV 24 And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies. NIV 24 The LORD made his people very fruitful; he made them too numerous for their foes, KJV 25 He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants. NIV 32 He turned their rain into hail, with lightning throughout their land; KJV 33 He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts. NIV 33 he struck down their vines and fig trees and shattered the trees of their country. KJV 34 He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number, NIV 34 He spoke, and the locusts came, grasshoppers without number; KJV 35 And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground. NIV 35 they ate up every green thing in their land, ate up the produce of their soil. KJV 36 He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength. NIV 36 Then he struck down all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their manhood. KJV 37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes. NIV 37 He brought out Israel, laden with silver and gold, and from among their tribes no one faltered. KJV 38 Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them. NIV 38 Egypt was glad when they left, because dread of Israel had fallen on them. KJV 39 He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night. NIV 39 He spread out a cloud as a covering, and a fire to give light at night. KJV 40 The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven. NIV 40 They asked, and he brought them quail; he fed them well with the bread of heaven. KJV 41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river. NIV 41 He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it flowed like a river in the desert. KJV 42 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant. NIV 42 For he remembered his holy promise given to his servant Abraham. KJV 43 And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness: NIV 43 He brought out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy; KJV 44 And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people; NIV 44 he gave them the lands of the nations, and they fell heir to what others had toiled for— KJV 45 That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD. NIV 45 that they might keep his precepts and observe his laws. Praise the LORD.
