Psalm 13

CEB

MSG

1 How long will you forget me, LORD? Forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
1 Long enough, God - you've ignored me long enough. I've looked at the back of your head
2 How long will I be left to my own wits, agony filling my heart? Daily? How long will my enemy keep defeating me?
2 Long enough I've carried this ton of trouble, lived with a stomach full of pain. Long enough my arrogant enemies have looked down their noses at me.
3 Look at me! Answer me, LORD my God! Restore sight to my eyes! Otherwise, I'll sleep the sleep of death,
3 Take a good look at me, God, my God; I want to look life in the eye,
4 and my enemy will say, "I won!" My foes will rejoice over my downfall.
4 So no enemy can get the best of me or laugh when I fall on my face.
5 But I have trusted in your faithful love. My heart will rejoice in your salvation.
5 I've thrown myself headlong into your arms - I'm celebrating your rescue.
6 Yes, I will sing to the LORD because he has been good to me.
6 I'm singing at the top of my lungs, I'm so full of answered prayers.
