1 (19-1) <Unto the end. A psalm for David.> (19-2) May the Lord hear thee in the day of tribulation: may the name of the God of Jacob protect thee.

2 (19-3) May he send thee help from the sanctuary: and defend thee out of Sion.

3 (19-4) May he be mindful of all thy sacrifices: and may thy whole burnt offering be made fat.

4 (19-5) May he give thee according to thy own heart; and confirm all thy counsels.

5 (19-6) We will rejoice in thy salvation; and in the name of our God we shall be exalted.

6 (19-7) The Lord fulfil all thy petitions: now have I known that the Lord hath saved his anointed. He will hear him from his holy heaven: the salvation of his right hand is in powers.

7 (19-8) Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will call upon the name of the Lord, our God.

8 (19-9) They are bound, and have fallen: but we are risen, and are set upright.

9 (19-9) O Lord, save the king: and hear us in the day that we shall call upon thee.

1 In times of trouble, may the LORD answer your cry. May the name of the God of Jacob keep you safe from all harm.

2 May he send you help from his sanctuary and strengthen you from Jerusalem.

3 May he remember all your gifts and look favorably on your burnt offerings. Interlude

4 May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed.

5 May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory and raise a victory banner in the name of our God. May the LORD answer all your prayers.

6 Now I know that the LORD rescues his anointed king. He will answer him from his holy heaven and rescue him by his great power.

7 Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the name of the LORD our God.

8 Those nations will fall down and collapse, but we will rise up and stand firm.

9 Give victory to our king, O LORD ! Answer our cry for help.
