New Living Translation NLT
1 (69-1) <Unto the end, a psalm for David, to bring to remembrance that the Lord saved him.> (69-2) O God, come to my assistance; O Lord, make haste to help me.
1
Please, God, rescue me! Come quickly, LORD, and help me.
2 (69-3) Let them be confounded and ashamed that seek my soul:
2
May those who try to kill me be humiliated and put to shame. May those who take delight in my trouble be turned back in disgrace.
3 (69-4) Let them be turned backward, and blush for shame that desire evils to me: Let them be presently turned away blushing for shame that say to me: ’Tis well, ’tis well.
3
Let them be horrified by their shame, for they said, “Aha! We’ve got him now!”
4 (69-5) Let all that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee; and let such as love thy salvation say always: The Lord be magnified.
4
But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, “God is great!”
5 (69-6) But I am needy and poor; O God, help me. Thou art my helper and my deliverer: O lord, make no delay.
5
But as for me, I am poor and needy; please hurry to my aid, O God. You are my helper and my savior; O LORD, do not delay.
