LEB

1 It is good to praise the LORDand make music to your name, O Most High,
1 [It is] good to give thanks to Yahweh, and to sing praise concerning your name, O Most High;
2 proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night,
2 to declare in the morning your loyal love and your faithfulness in the night,
3 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.
3 on [the] ten [string], and on [the] harp, with a melody on [the] lyre.
4 For you make me glad by your deeds, LORD; I sing for joy at what your hands have done.
4 For you, O Yahweh, have made me glad by your work; by the deeds of your hands I sing for joy.
5 How great are your works, LORD, how profound your thoughts!
5 How great are your deeds, O Yahweh; [how] very deep are your thoughts.
6 Senseless people do not know, fools do not understand,
6 [The] brutish man does not know, and [the] fool cannot understand this.
7 that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever.
7 When the wicked flourish like grass and all [the] workers of evil blossom, [it is] so they can be destroyed forever.
8 But you, LORD, are forever exalted.
8 But you [are] on high forever, O Yahweh.
9 For surely your enemies, LORD, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered.
9 For behold, your enemies, O Yahweh, for behold, your enemies will perish. All [the] workers of evil will be scattered.
10 You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured on me.
10 But you have exalted my horn like [that of] a wild ox; you have anointed me with fresh oil.
11 My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes.
11 And [so] my eye looks on my enemies. My ears hear those evildoers who rise up against me.
12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;
12 [The] righteous will flourish like the date palm. They will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God.
13 Planted in the house of Yahweh, they will flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green,
14 They will still prosper in old age. They will be fat and luxuriant,
15 proclaiming, “The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”
15 to declare that Yahweh [is] upright. [He is] my rock, and [there is] no injustice in him.
