CEB 8 Don't be in debt to anyone, except for the obligation to love each other. Whoever loves another person has fulfilled the Law. NRS 8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. CEB 9 The commandments, Don't commit adultery, don't murder, don't steal, don't desire what others have, and any other commandments, are all summed up in one word: You must love your neighbor as yourself. NRS 9 The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery; You shall not murder; You shall not steal; You shall not covet"; and any other commandment, are summed up in this word, "Love your neighbor as yourself." CEB 10 Love doesn't do anything wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is what fulfills the Law. NRS 10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law. CEB 11 As you do all this, you know what time it is. The hour has already come for you to wake up from your sleep. Now our salvation is nearer than when we first had faith. NRS 11 Besides this, you know what time it is, how it is now the moment for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we became believers; CEB 12 The night is almost over, and the day is near. So let's get rid of the actions that belong to the darkness and put on the weapons of light. NRS 12 the night is far gone, the day is near. Let us then lay aside the works of darkness and put on the armor of light; CEB 13 Let's behave appropriately as people who live in the day, not in partying and getting drunk, not in sleeping around and obscene behavior, not in fighting and obsession. NRS 13 let us live honorably as in the day, not in reveling and drunkenness, not in debauchery and licentiousness, not in quarreling and jealousy. CEB 14 Instead, dress yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ, and don't plan to indulge your selfish desires. NRS 14 Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.
