Praise the LORD, my soul! Praise his holy name, all that is within me.
2 Bendice, alma mía, á Jehová, Y no olvides ninguno de sus beneficios.

Praise the LORD, my soul, and never forget all the good he has done:
3 El es quien perdona todas tus iniquidades, El que sana todas tus dolencias;

He is the one who forgives all your sins, the one who heals all your diseases,
4 El que rescata del hoyo tu vida, El que te corona de favores y misericordias;

the one who rescues your life from the pit, the one who crowns you with mercy and compassion,
5 El que sacia de bien tu boca De modo que te rejuvenezcas como el águila.

the one who fills your life with blessings so that you become young again like an eagle.
6 Jehová el que hace justicia Y derecho á todos los que padecen violencia.

The LORD does what is right and fair for all who are oppressed.
7 Sus caminos notificó á Moisés, Y á los hijos de Israel sus obras.

He let Moses know his ways. He let the Israelites know the things he had done.
8 Misericordioso y clemente es Jehová; Lento para la ira, y grande en misericordia.

The LORD is compassionate, merciful, patient, and always ready to forgive.
9 No contenderá para siempre, Ni para siempre guardará el enojo.

He will not always accuse us of wrong or be angry [with us] forever.
10 No ha hecho con nosotros conforme á nuestras iniquidades; Ni nos ha pagado conforme á nuestros pecados.

He has not treated us as we deserve for our sins or paid us back for our wrongs.
11 Porque como la altura de los cielos sobre la tierra, Engrandeció su misericordia sobre los que le temen.

As high as the heavens are above the earth-- that is how vast his mercy is toward those who fear him.
12 Cuanto está lejos el oriente del occidente, Hizo alejar de nosotros nuestras rebeliones.

As far as the east is from the west-- that is how far he has removed our rebellious acts from himself.
13 Como el padre se compadece de los hijos, Se compadece Jehová de los que le temen.

As a father has compassion for his children, so the LORD has compassion for those who fear him.
14 Porque él conoce nuestra condición; Acuérdase que somos polvo.

He certainly knows what we are made of. He bears in mind that we are dust.
15 El hombre, como la hierba son sus días, Florece como la flor del campo.

Human life is as short-lived as grass. It blossoms like a flower in the field.
16 Que pasó el viento por ella, y pereció: Y su lugar no la conoce más.

When the wind blows over the flower, it disappears, and there is no longer any sign of it.
17 Mas la misericordia de Jehová desde el siglo y hasta el siglo sobre los que le temen, Y su justicia sobre los hijos de los hijos;

But from everlasting to everlasting, the LORD's mercy is on those who fear him. His righteousness belongs to their children and grandchildren,
18 Sobre los que guardan su pacto, Y los que se acuerdan de sus mandamientos para ponerlos por obra.

to those who are faithful to his promise, to those who remember to follow his guiding principles.
19 Jehová afirmó en los cielos su trono; Y su reino domina sobre todos.

The LORD has set his throne in heaven. His kingdom rules everything.
20 Bendecid á Jehová, vosotros sus ángeles, Poderosos en fortaleza, que ejecutáis su palabra, Obedeciendo á la voz de su precepto.

Praise the LORD, all his angels, you mighty beings who carry out his orders and are ready to obey his spoken orders.
21 Bendecid á Jehová, vosotros todos sus ejércitos, Ministros suyos, que hacéis su voluntad.

Praise the LORD, all his armies, his servants who carry out his will.
22 Bendecid á Jehová, vosotras todas sus obras, En todos los lugares de su señorío. Bendice, alma mía á Jehová.

Praise the LORD, all his creatures in all the places of his empire. Praise the LORD, my soul!
