1 Salmo 129<br />Cántico para los peregrinos que suben a Jerusalén.<br />Desde mi temprana juventud, mis enemigos me han perseguido.<br />Que todo Israel repita:

2 Desde mi temprana juventud, mis enemigos me han perseguido<br />pero nunca me derrotaron.

3 Tengo la espalda cubierta de heridas,<br />como si un agricultor hubiera arado largos surcos.

4 Pero el Señor<br /> es bueno;<br />cortó las cuerdas con que me ataban los impíos.

5 Que todos los que odian a Jerusalén<br />retrocedan en vergonzosa derrota.

6 Que sean tan inútiles como la hierba que crece en un techo,<br />que se pone amarilla a la mitad de su desarrollo,

7 que es ignorada por el cosechador<br />y despreciada por el que hace los manojos.

8 Y que los que pasan por allí<br />se nieguen a darles esta bendición:<br />«El Señor<br /> los bendiga;<br />los bendecimos en el nombre del Señor<br />».

1 “They have greatly oppressed me from my youth,” let Israel say;

2 “they have greatly oppressed me from my youth, but they have not gained the victory over me.

3 Plowmen have plowed my back and made their furrows long.

4 But the LORD is righteous; he has cut me free from the cords of the wicked.”

5 May all who hate Zion be turned back in shame.

6 May they be like grass on the roof, which withers before it can grow;

7 a reaper cannot fill his hands with it, nor one who gathers fill his arms.

8 May those who pass by not say to them, “The blessing of the LORD be on you; we bless you in the name of the LORD.”
