1 Al Vencedor, sobre Ajelet-sahar <I>el lucero de la mañana</I> . Salmo de David. Dios mío, Dios mío, ¿por qué me has dejado? ¿<I>Por qué</I> estás lejos de mi salud, y de las palabras de mi clamor?

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from my cries of anguish?
2 Dios mío, clamo de día, y no oyes; y de noche, y no puedo <I>estar en</I> silencio.

My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer, by night, but I find no rest.
3 Tú <I>empero eres</I> santo, tú que habitas <I>entre las</I> alabanzas de Israel.

Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the one Israel praises.
4 En ti esperaron nuestros padres; esperaron, y tú los salvaste.

In you our ancestors put their trust; they trusted and you delivered them.
5 Clamaron a ti, y fueron librados; esperaron en ti, y no se avergonzaron.

To you they cried out and were saved; in you they trusted and were not put to shame.
6 Mas yo <I>soy</I> gusano, y no varón; oprobio de <I>los</I> hombres, y desecho del pueblo.

But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by everyone, despised by the people.
7 Todos los que me ven, escarnecen de mí; estiran los labios, menean la cabeza, <I>diciendo</I> :

All who see me mock me; they hurl insults, shaking their heads.
8 Remítese al SEÑOR, líbrelo; sálvele <I>él</I> , puesto que en él se complacía.

“He trusts in the LORD,” they say, “let the LORD rescue him. Let him deliver him, since he delights in him.”
9 Pero tú <I>eres</I> el que me sacó del vientre, el que me haces esperar <I>en ti</I> desde que estaba a los pechos de mi madre.

Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made me trust in you, even at my mother’s breast.
10 Sobre ti fui echado desde la matriz; desde el vientre de mi madre, tú <I>eres</I> mi Dios.

From birth I was cast on you; from my mother’s womb you have been my God.
11 No te alejes de mí, porque la angustia <I>está</I> cerca; porque no <I>hay</I> quien ayude.

Do not be far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help.
12 Me han rodeado muchos toros; fuertes toros de Basán me han cercado.

Many bulls surround me; strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.
13 Abrieron sobre mí su boca, <I>como</I> león rampante y rugiente.

Roaring lions that tear their prey open their mouths wide against me.
14 Heme escurrido como aguas, y todos mis huesos se descoyuntaron; mi corazón fue como cera, desliéndose en medio de mis entrañas.

I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart has turned to wax; it has melted within me.
15 Como un tiesto se secó mi vigor, y mi lengua se pegó a mi paladar; y me has puesto en el polvo de la muerte.

My mouth is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; you lay me in the dust of death.
16 Porque perros me han rodeado, me <I>ha</I> cercado cuadrilla de malignos; horadaron mis manos y mis pies.

Dogs surround me, a pack of villains encircles me; they pierce my hands and my feet.
17 Contar puedo todos mis huesos; ellos miran, me consideran.

All my bones are on display; people stare and gloat over me.
18 Partieron entre sí mis vestidos, y sobre mi ropa echaron suertes.

They divide my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment.
19 Mas tú, SEÑOR, no te alejes; fortaleza mía, apresúrate para mi ayuda.

But you, LORD, do not be far from me. You are my strength; come quickly to help me.
20 Libra de la espada mi alma; del poder del perro mi vida.

Deliver me from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dogs.
21 Sálvame de la boca del león, y de los cuernos de los unicornios líbrame.

Rescue me from the mouth of the lions; save me from the horns of the wild oxen.
22 Anunciaré tu nombre a mis hermanos; en medio de la congregación te alabaré.

I will declare your name to my people; in the assembly I will praise you.
23 Los que teméis al SEÑOR, alabadle; toda la simiente de Jacob glorificadle; y temed de él, toda la simiente de Israel.

You who fear the LORD, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, honor him! Revere him, all you descendants of Israel!
24 Porque no menospreció ni abominó la aflicción del pobre <I>en espíritu</I> , ni de él escondió su rostro; y cuando clamó a él, le oyó.

For he has not despised or scorned the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help.
25 De ti <I>será</I> mi alabanza en la grande congregación; mis votos pagaré delante de los que le temen.
25
From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly; before those who fear you I will fulfill my vows.
26 Comerán los humildes, y serán saciados; alabarán al SEÑOR los que le buscan; vivirá vuestro corazón para siempre.

The poor will eat and be satisfied; those who seek the LORD will praise him— may your hearts live forever!
27 Se acordarán, y se volverán al SEÑOR todos los términos de la tierra; y se humillarán delante de ti todas las familias de los gentiles.

All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him,
28 Porque del SEÑOR <I>es</I> el reino; y <I>él</I> se enseñoreará de los gentiles.

for dominion belongs to the LORDand he rules over the nations.
29 Comerán y adorarán todos los gruesos de la tierra; delante de él se arrodillarán todos los que descienden al polvo, y ninguno puede vivificar su propio alma.

All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him— those who cannot keep themselves alive.
30 La simiente le servirá; será contada al SEÑOR por generación.
30
Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord.
31 Vendrán, y anunciarán al pueblo que naciere, su justicia que él hizo.

They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it!
