1 Salmo 34<br />Salmo de David, acerca de cuando se hizo pasar por loco frente a Abimelec, quien lo echó de su presencia.<br />Alabaré al Señor<br /> en todo tiempo;<br />a cada momento pronunciaré sus alabanzas.

I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.
2 Sólo en el Señor<br /> me jactaré;<br />que todos los indefensos cobren ánimo.

I will glory in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
3 Vengan, hablemos de las grandezas del Señor<br />;<br />exaltemos juntos su nombre.

Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together.
4 Oré al Señor<br />, y él me respondió;<br />me libró de todos mis temores.

I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
5 Los que buscan su ayuda estarán radiantes de alegría;<br />ninguna sombra de vergüenza les oscurecerá el rostro.

Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.
6 En mi desesperación oré, y el Señor<br /> me escuchó;<br />me salvó de todas mis dificultades.

This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles.
7 Pues el ángel del Señor<br /> es un guardián;<br />rodea y defiende a todos los que le temen.

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.
8 Prueben y vean que el Señor<br /> es bueno;<br />¡qué alegría para los que se refugian en él!

Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
9 Teman al Señor<br />, ustedes los de su pueblo santo,<br />pues los que le temen tendrán todo lo que necesitan.

Fear the LORD, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing.
10 Hasta los leones jóvenes y fuertes a veces pasan hambre,<br />pero a los que confían en el Señor<br /> no les faltará ningún bien.

The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
11 Vengan, hijos míos, y escúchenme,<br />y les enseñaré a temer al Señor<br />.

Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
12 ¿Quieres vivir una vida<br />larga y próspera?

Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days,
13 ¡Entonces refrena tu lengua de hablar el mal<br />y tus labios de decir mentiras!

keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.
14 Apártate del mal y haz el bien;<br />busca la paz y esfuérzate por mantenerla.

Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
15 Los ojos del Señor<br /> están sobre los que hacen lo bueno;<br />sus oídos están abiertos a sus gritos de auxilio.

The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry;
16 Pero el Señor<br /> aparta su rostro de los que hacen lo malo;<br />borrará todo recuerdo de ellos de la faz de la tierra.

but the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to blot out their name from the earth.
17 El Señor<br /> oye a los suyos cuando claman a él por ayuda;<br />los rescata de todas sus dificultades.

The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.
18 El Señor<br /> está cerca de los que tienen quebrantado el corazón;<br />él rescata a los de espíritu destrozado.

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
19 La persona íntegra enfrenta muchas dificultades,<br />pero el Señor<br /> llega al rescate en cada ocasión.

The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all;
20 Pues el Señor<br /> protege los huesos de los justos;<br />¡ni uno solo es quebrado!

he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.
21 Sin duda, la calamidad alcanzará a los perversos,<br />y los que odian a los justos serán castigados.

Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned.
22 Pero el Señor<br /> redimirá a los que le sirven;<br />ninguno que se refugie en él será condenado.

The LORD will rescue his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.
