Psalm 52

1 ¿Por qué te jactas del mal, oh poderoso? La misericordia de Dios es continua.

1 Why do you brag of evil, "Big Man"? God's mercy carries the day.

2 Tu lengua maquina destrucción como afilada navaja, oh artífice de engaño.

2 You scheme catastrophe; your tongue cuts razor-sharp, artisan in lies.

3 Amas el mal más que el bien, la mentira más que decir lo que es justo. (Selah)

3 You love evil more than good, you call black white.

4 Amas toda palabra destructora, oh lengua de engaño.

4 You love malicious gossip, you foul-mouth.

5 Pero Dios te destruirá para siempre; te arrebatará y te arrancará de tu tienda, y te desarraigará de la tierra de los vivientes. (Selah)

5 God will tear you limb from limb, sweep you up and throw you out, Pull you up by the roots from the land of life.

6 Los justos verán esto y temerán, y se reirán de él, diciendo:

6 Good people will watch and worship. They'll laugh in relief:

7 He aquí el hombre que no quiso hacer de Dios su refugio, sino que confió en la abundancia de sus riquezas y se hizo fuerte en sus malos deseos.

7 "Big Man bet on the wrong horse, trusted in big money, made his living from catastrophe."

8 And I'm an olive tree, growing green in God's house. I trusted in the generous mercy of God then and now.
