We’ll join Jeff Johnson in Acts chapter two today on Sound Doctrine. This portion of Scripture records the day of Pentecost. A time when many would receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. A vital, important and needed experience back in the early church, but today as well! But what is it, and how do you receive it? Find out as you join us.

Pastor Jeff Johnson will be continuing our series in Acts. Open that Bible of yours to chapter two. And there is so much for us to unpack and apply. If you’ll recall last time we were together the disciples were told to wait in Jerusalem for the promise of the Father. Well here in chapter two, that promise arrives!

Jesus has never lied to us, and His Word will never fail us. He promised from the beginning that we belong to Him, and that He is holding us in the palm of His hand. And, we can rejoice in the fact that He will never leave us or forsake us, no matter what.

We need to experience a fresh Pentecost in our lives today. God is calling us to remember those things that He has carried us through before, but He’s also on the move with a fresh Word and a fresh fire. What God has begun, He promises to complete.

During these uncertain times, it seems as though the church is being stripped of its “essential” status. So how can we, as believers, honor the authorities God has put in place, while being obedient to our God-ordained role in the community?
