Verily,verily, I say unto thee,When thou wastyoung, thou girdedstthyself,andwalkedstwhither thou wouldest : butwhen thou shalt be old , thou shalt stretch forththyhands,andanother shall girdthee,andcarry thee whither thou wouldestnot.

This spake he , signifying by whatdeath he should glorifyGod.And when he had spokenthis, he saith unto him,Followme.

ThenPeter, turning about , seeth the disciplewhomJesuslovedfollowing ; whichalsoleanedonhisbreastatsupper,andsaid , Lord,which is he that betrayeththee?

Peterseeinghimsaith to Jesus,Lord,andwhat shall this man do?

Jesussaith unto him, I f I will that hetarrytill I come , what is that tothee?followthoume.

Thenwentthissayingabroadamong the brethren,thatthatdiscipleshouldnotdie : yetJesussaidnot unto him*, He shallnotdie ; but,If I will that hetarrytill I come , what is that tothee?

Thisis the disciplewhichtestifiethof these things,andwrote these things:and we knowthathistestimonyistrue.

And there arealsomany other thingswhichJesusdid , the which,if they should be writteneveryone, I suppose that even the worlditself could notcontain the books that should be written . Amen.
