40 Das siebente Los fiel auf den Stamm der Kinder Dan nach ihren Geschlechtern.

41 Und das Gebiet ihres Erbteils waren Zora, Esthaol, Ir-Semes,

42 Saalabbin, Ajalon, Jethla,

43 Elon, Thimnatha, Ekron,

44 Eltheke, Gibbethon, Baalath,

45 Jehud, Bne-Barak, Gath-Rimmon,

46 Me-Jarkon, Rakkon mit den Grenzen gegen Japho.

47 Und an demselben endet das Gebiet der Kinder Dan. Und die Kinder Dan zogen hinauf und stritten wider Lesem und gewannen und schlugen es mit der Schärfe des Schwerts und nahmen es ein und wohnten darin und nannten es Dan nach ihres Vaters Namen. {~} {~} {~}

48 Das ist das Erbteil des Stammes der Kinder Dan nach ihren Geschlechtern, die Städte und ihre Dörfer.

49 Und da sie das Ganze Land ausgeteilt hatten nach seinen Grenzen, gaben die Kinder Israel Josua, dem Sohn Nuns, ein Erbteil unter ihnen

50 und gaben ihm nach dem Befehl des HERRN die Stadt, die er forderte, nämlich Thimnath-Serah auf dem Gebirge Ephraim. Da baute er die Stadt und wohnte darin.

INTRODUCTION TO JOSHUA 19

In this chapter an account is given of the lots of the six remaining tribes, and the cities in them, as of Simeon, whose cities were chiefly within the tribe of Judah, Jos 19:1-9; of Zebulun, its border and cities, Jos 19:10-16; of Issachar, its border and cities, Jos 19:17-23; of Asher, its border and cities, Jos 19:24-31; of Naphtali, its border and cities, Jos 19:32-39; of Dan, its border and titles, Jos 19:40-48; and lastly of a gift of inheritance to Joshua, Jos 19:49-51.
