The Parable of the Sower -- by far, one of the more familiar parables taught by Jesus during His earthly ministry. Today we open our Bibles to Matthew chapter thirteen and encounter a parable that speaks volumes to us today. It’s the parable of the sower. A picture of the gospel seed being spread out.

It’s been said the way to a person’s heart is through their bruises. It’s important to be sensitive to the hurts of those around us. Today we’ll begin a teaching dealing with an extremely difficult issue that’s so seldom talked about. And that is ministering to hard hearts, that through no fault of their own, have been hardened by the lies and abuse of others.


Jesus was sure great about taking deep heavenly truths, and making them easy to understand. One of His chosen methods of teaching was through stories we refer to as parables. Maybe like me you enjoy a good story. Our Lord was the master story teller! On today’s Light on the Hill with pastor James Kaddis, we’ll take a look at one of these parables. Matthew thirteen is where we’re at today.
