Psalm 110; Psalm 111; Psalm 112; 1 Corinthians 5

1 (109-1) <A psalm for David.> The Lord said to my Lord: Sit thou at my right hand: Until I make thy enemies thy footstool. 2 (109-2) The Lord will send forth the sceptre of thy power out of Sion: rule thou in the midst of thy enemies. 3 (109-3) With thee is the principality in the day of thy strength: in the brightness of the saints: from the womb before the day star I begot thee. 4 (109-4) The Lord hath sworn, and he will not repent: Thou art a priest for ever according to the order of Melchisedech. 5 (109-5) The Lord at thy right hand hath broken kings in the day of his wrath. 6 (109-6) He shall judge among nations, he shall fill ruins: he shall crush the heads in the land of many. 7 (109-7) He shall drink of the torrent in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.
1 (110-1) I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; in the council of the just, and in the congregation. 2 (110-2) Great are the works of the Lord: sought out according to all his wills. 3 (110-3) His work is praise and magnificence: and his justice continueth for ever and ever. 4 (110-4) He hath made a remembrance of his wonderful works, being a merciful and gracious Lord: 5 (110-5) He hath given food to them that fear him. He will be mindful for ever of his covenant: 6 (110-6) He will shew forth to his people the power of his works. 7 (110-7) That he may give them the inheritance of the Gentiles: the works of his hands are truth and judgment. 8 (110-8) All his commandments are faithful: confirmed for ever and ever, made in truth and equity. 9 (110-9) He hath sent redemption to his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever. Holy and terrible is his name: 10 (110-10) The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A good understanding to all that do it: his praise continueth for ever and ever.
1 (111-1) Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord: he shall delight exceedingly in his commandments. 2 (111-2) His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the righteous shall be blessed. 3 (111-3) Glory and wealth shall be in his house: and his justice remaineth for ever and ever. 4 (111-4) To the righteous a light is risen up in darkness: he is merciful, and compassionate and just. 5 (111-5) Acceptable is the man that sheweth mercy and lendeth: he shall order his words with judgment: 6 (111-6) Because he shall not be moved for ever. 7 (111-7) The just shall be in everlasting remembrance: he shall not fear the evil hearing. His heart is ready to hope in the Lord: 8 (111-8) His heart is strengthened, he shall not be moved until he look over his enemies. 9 (111-9) He hath distributed, he hath given to the poor: his justice remaineth for ever and ever: his horn shall be exalted in glory. 10 (111-10) The wicked shall see, and shall be angry, he shall gnash with his teeth and pine away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
1 It is absolutely heard that there is fornication among you and such fornication as the like is not among the heathens: that one should have his father’s wife. 2 And you are puffed up and have not rather mourned: that he might be taken away from among you that hath done this thing. 3 I indeed, absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged, as though I were present, him that hath so done, 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, you being gathered together and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus: 5 To deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 6 Your glorying is not good. Know you not that a little leaven corrupteth the whole lump? 7 Purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new paste, as you are unleavened. For Christ our pasch is sacrificed. 8 Therefore, let us feast, not with the old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness: but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. 9 I wrote to you in an epistle not to keep company with fornicators. 10 I mean not with the fornicators of this world or with the covetous or the extortioners or the servers of idols: otherwise you must needs go out of this world. 11 But now I have written to you, not to keep company, if any man that is named a brother be a fornicator or covetous or a server of idols or a railer or a drunkard or an extortioner: with such a one, not so much as to eat. 12 For what have I to do to judge them that are without? Do not you judge them that are within? 13 For them that are without, God will judge. Put away the evil one from among yourselves.
