Psalm 111; Psalm 112; Psalm 113; Psalm 114; Psalm 115; Psalm 116; Psalm 117; Psalm 118

1 (110-1) I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; in the council of the just, and in the congregation. 2 (110-2) Great are the works of the Lord: sought out according to all his wills. 3 (110-3) His work is praise and magnificence: and his justice continueth for ever and ever. 4 (110-4) He hath made a remembrance of his wonderful works, being a merciful and gracious Lord: 5 (110-5) He hath given food to them that fear him. He will be mindful for ever of his covenant: 6 (110-6) He will shew forth to his people the power of his works. 7 (110-7) That he may give them the inheritance of the Gentiles: the works of his hands are truth and judgment. 8 (110-8) All his commandments are faithful: confirmed for ever and ever, made in truth and equity. 9 (110-9) He hath sent redemption to his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever. Holy and terrible is his name: 10 (110-10) The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A good understanding to all that do it: his praise continueth for ever and ever.
1 (111-1) Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord: he shall delight exceedingly in his commandments. 2 (111-2) His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the righteous shall be blessed. 3 (111-3) Glory and wealth shall be in his house: and his justice remaineth for ever and ever. 4 (111-4) To the righteous a light is risen up in darkness: he is merciful, and compassionate and just. 5 (111-5) Acceptable is the man that sheweth mercy and lendeth: he shall order his words with judgment: 6 (111-6) Because he shall not be moved for ever. 7 (111-7) The just shall be in everlasting remembrance: he shall not fear the evil hearing. His heart is ready to hope in the Lord: 8 (111-8) His heart is strengthened, he shall not be moved until he look over his enemies. 9 (111-9) He hath distributed, he hath given to the poor: his justice remaineth for ever and ever: his horn shall be exalted in glory. 10 (111-10) The wicked shall see, and shall be angry, he shall gnash with his teeth and pine away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
1 (112-1) Praise the Lord, ye children: praise ye the name of the Lord. 2 (112-2) Blessed be the name of the Lord, from henceforth now and for ever. 3 (112-3) From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, the name of the Lord is worthy of praise. 4 (112-4) The Lord is high above all nations; and his glory above the heavens. 5 (112-5) Who is as the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high: 6 (112-6) and looketh down on the low things in heaven and in earth? 7 (112-7) Raising up the needy from the earth, and lifting up the poor out of the dunghill: 8 (112-8) That he may place him with princes, with the princes of his people. 9 (112-9) Who maketh a barren woman to dwell in a house, the joyful mother of children.
1 (113-1) When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a barbarous people: 2 (113-2) Judea was made his sanctuary, Israel his dominion. 3 (113-3) The sea saw and fled: Jordan was turned back. 4 (113-4) The mountains skipped like rams, and the hills like the lambs of the flock. 5 (113-5) What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou didst flee: and thou, O Jordan, that thou wast turned back? 6 (113-6) Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams, and ye hills, like lambs of the flock? 7 (113-7) At the presence of the Lord the earth was moved, at the presence of the God of Jacob: 8 (113-8) Who turned the rock into pools of water, and the stony hill into fountains of waters.
1 (113-9) Not to us, O Lord, not to us; but to thy name give glory. 2 (113-10) For thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake: lest the Gentiles should say: Where is their God? 3 (113-11) But our God is in heaven: he hath done all things whatsoever he would. 4 (113-12) The idols of the Gentiles are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men. 5 (113-13) They have mouths and speak not: they have eyes and see not. 6 (113-14) They have ears and hear not: they have noses and smell not. 7 (113-15) They have hands and feel not: they have feet and walk not: neither shall they cry out through their throat. 8 (113-16) Let them that make them become like unto them: and all such as trust in them. 9 (113-17) The house of Israel hath hoped in the Lord: he is their helper and their protector. 10 (113-18) The house of Aaron hath hoped in the Lord: he is their helper and their protector. 11 (113-19) They that fear the Lord have hoped in the Lord: he is their helper and their protector. 12 (113-20) The Lord hath been mindful of us, and hath blessed us. He hath blessed the house of Israel: he hath blessed the house of Aaron. 13 (113-21) He hath blessed all that fear the Lord, both little and great. 14 (113-22) May the Lord add blessings upon you: upon you, and upon your children. 15 (113-23) Blessed be you of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. 16 (113-24) The heaven of heaven is the Lord’s: but the earth he has given to the children of men. 17 (113-25) The dead shall not praise thee, O Lord: nor any of them that go down to hell. 18 (113-26) But we that live bless the Lord: from this time now and for ever.
1 (114-1) I have loved, because the Lord will hear the voice of my prayer. 2 (114-2) Because he hath inclined his ear unto me: and in my days I will call upon him. 3 (114-3) The sorrows of death have compassed me: and the perils of hell have found me. I met with trouble and sorrow: 4 (114-4) And I called upon the name of the Lord. O Lord, deliver my soul. 5 (114-5) The Lord is merciful and just, and our God sheweth mercy. 6 (114-6) The Lord is the keeper of little ones: I was humbled, and he delivered me. 7 (114-7) Turn, O my soul, into thy rest: for the Lord hath been bountiful to thee. 8 (114-8) For he hath delivered my soul from death: my eyes from tears, my feet from falling. 9 (114-9) I will please the Lord in the land of the living. 10 (115-1) I have believed, therefore have I spoken; but I have been humbled exceedingly. 11 (115-2) I said in my excess: Every man is a liar. 12 (115-3) What shall I render to the Lord, for all the things that he hath rendered to me? 13 (115-4) I will take the chalice of salvation; and I will call upon the name of the Lord. 14 (115-5) I will pay my vows to the Lord before all his people: 15 (115-6) Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. 16 (115-7) O Lord, for I am thy servant: I am thy servant, and the son of thy handmaid. Thou hast broken my bonds: 17 (115-8) I will sacrifice to thee the sacrifice of praise, and I will call upon the name of the Lord. 18 (115-9) I will pay my vows to the Lord in the sight of all his people: 19 (115-10) In the courts of the house of the Lord, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem.
1 (116-1) O Praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. 2 (116-2) For his mercy is confirmed upon us: and the truth of the Lord remaineth for ever.
1 (117-1) Give praise to the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. 2 (117-2) Let Israel now say, that he is good: that his mercy endureth for ever. 3 (117-3) Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever. 4 (117-4) Let them that fear the Lord now say, that his mercy endureth for ever. 5 (117-5) In my trouble I called upon the Lord: and the Lord heard me, and enlarged me. 6 (117-6) The Lord is my helper: I will not fear what man can do unto me. 7 (117-7) The Lord is my helper: and I will look over my enemies. 8 (117-8) It is good to confide in the Lord, rather than to have confidence in man. 9 (117-9) It is good to trust in the Lord, rather than to trust in princes. 10 (117-10) All nations compassed me about; and, in the name of the Lord I have been revenged on them. 11 (117-11) Surrounding me they compassed me about: and in the name of the Lord I have been revenged on them. 12 (117-12) They surrounded me like bees, and they burned like fire among thorns: and in the name of the Lord I was revenged on them. 13 (117-13) Being pushed I was overturned that I might fall: but the Lord supported me. 14 (117-14) The Lord is my strength and my praise: and he is become my salvation. 15 (117-15) The voice of rejoicing and of salvation is in the tabernacles of the just. 16 (117-16) The right hand of the Lord hath wrought strength: the right hand of the Lord hath exalted me: the right hand of the Lord hath wrought strength. 17 (117-17) I shall not die, but live: and shall declare the works of the Lord. 18 (117-18) The Lord chastising hath chastised me: but he hath not delivered me over to death. 19 (117-19) Open ye to me the gates of justice: I will go in to them, and give praise to the Lord. 20 (117-20) This is the gate of the Lord, the just shall enter into it. 21 (117-21) I will give glory to thee because thou hast heard me: and art become my salvation. 22 (117-22) The stone which the builders rejected; the same is become the head of the corner. 23 (117-23) This is the Lord’s doing, and it is wonderful in our eyes. 24 (117-24) This is the day which the Lord hath made: let us be glad and rejoice therein. 25 (117-25) O Lord, save me: O Lord, give good success. 26 (117-26) Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord. We have blessed you out of the house of the Lord. 27 (117-27) The Lord is God, and he hath shone upon us. Appoint a solemn day, with shady boughs, even to the horn of the altar. 28 (117-28) Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, and I will exalt thee. I will praise thee, because thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation. 29 (117-29) O praise ye the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
