1 Cronache 28:8

8 Or dunque in presenza di tutto Israele, dell’assemblea dell’Eterno, e dinanzi al nostro Dio che ci ascolta, io v’esorto ad osservare e a prendere a cuore tutti i comandamenti dell’Eterno, ch’è il vostro Dio, affinché possiate rimanere in possesso di questo buon paese, e lasciarlo in eredità ai vostri figliuoli, dopo di voi, in perpetuo.

1 Chronicles 28:8

Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, the congregation of
the Lord
Whom this assembly represented:

and in the audience of our God;
before him, as Jarchi, in whose presence they were, and who heard and saw all that passed, and to whom David appeals as a witness; the Targum is,

``before the Word of the Lord.''

before whom all things are naked and open, ( Hebrews 4:12 Hebrews 4:13 )

keep and seek for all the commandments of the Lord your God;
seek to know them, search for them in the word of God, and endeavour to keep them:

that ye may possess this good land;
continue in the possession of it, for by their obedience they held it, ( Isaiah 1:19 )

and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever;
that so they might not be removed from it, and carried captive into other lands, as they were for their disobedience.

6 Egli m’ha detto: Salomone, tuo figliuolo, sarà quegli che edificherà la mia casa e i miei cortili; poiché io l’ho scelto per mio figliuolo, ed io gli sarò padre.

7 E stabilirò saldamente il suo regno in perpetuo, s’egli sarà perseverante nella pratica de’ miei comandamenti e de’ miei precetti, com’è oggi.

8 Or dunque in presenza di tutto Israele, dell’assemblea dell’Eterno, e dinanzi al nostro Dio che ci ascolta, io v’esorto ad osservare e a prendere a cuore tutti i comandamenti dell’Eterno, ch’è il vostro Dio, affinché possiate rimanere in possesso di questo buon paese, e lasciarlo in eredità ai vostri figliuoli, dopo di voi, in perpetuo.

9 E tu, Salomone, figliuol mio, riconosci l’Iddio di tuo padre, e servilo con cuore integro e con animo volenteroso; poiché l’Eterno scruta tutti i cuori, e penetra tutti i disegni e tutti i pensieri. Se tu lo cerchi, egli si lascerà trovare da te; ma, se lo abbandoni, egli ti rigetterà in perpetuo.

10 Considera ora che l’Eterno ha scelto te per edificare una casa, che serva da santuario; sii forte, e mettiti all’opra!"
