2 Kings 10:33

From Jordan eastward
This was principally the coast on which Hazael smote them, to the east of the land of Canaan:

all the land of Gilead, the Gadites, and the Reubenites, and the
Moabites;
the country on the other side Jordan, given to these tribes by Moses, at their request, which were before the kingdoms of Sihon and of Og:

from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, even Gilead and Bashan:
countries which the Israelites first conquered, and were the first they lost.

31 Ma Jehu non si fe’ premura di seguir con tutto il cuore la legge dell’Eterno, dell’Iddio d’Israele; non si dipartì dai peccati coi quali Geroboamo avea fatto peccare Israele.

32 In quel tempo, l’Eterno cominciò a diminuire il territorio d’Israele; Hazael difatti sconfisse gl’Israeliti su tutta la loro frontiera:

33 dal Giordano, verso oriente, soggiogò tutto il paese di Galaad, i Gaditi, i Rubeniti e i Manassiti, fino ad Aroer ch’è presso la valle dell’Arnon, vale a dire tutto il paese di Galaad e di Bashan.

34 Il rimanente delle azioni di Jehu, tutto quello che fece e tutte le sue prodezze, si trova scritto nel libro delle Cronache dei re d’Israele.
