22 Così Edom si è ribellato e si è sottratto al giogo di Giuda fino al dì d’oggi. In quel medesimo tempo, anche Libna si ribellò.

2 Kings 8:22

Yet Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day,
&c.] Joram not pursuing the enemy, and taking the advantage of the victory, but returning to his own land, the reason of which follows:

then Libnah revolted at the same time;
a considerable city in his own kingdom, a Levitical one; this revolt was occasioned, perhaps, by his idolatrous practices, and which he compelled his subjects to; of this city, see ( Joshua 10:29 ) ( 21:13 ) .

20 Ai tempi suoi, Edom si ribellò, sottraendosi al giogo di Giuda e si dette un re.

21 Allora Joram passò a Tsair con tutti i suoi carri; e una notte si levò, e sconfisse gli Edomiti che lo aveano accerchiato e i capitani dei carri; e la gente di Joram poté fuggire alle proprie case.

22 Così Edom si è ribellato e si è sottratto al giogo di Giuda fino al dì d’oggi. In quel medesimo tempo, anche Libna si ribellò.

23 Il rimanente delle azioni di Joram e tutto quello che fece, si trova scritto nel libro delle Cronache dei re di Giuda.

24 E Joram si addormentò coi suoi padri, e coi suoi padri fu sepolto nella città di Davide. E Achazia, suo figliuolo, regnò in luogo suo.
