3 Costui, veduto Pietro e Giovanni che stavan per entrare nel tempio, domandò loro l’elemosina.

Acts 3:3

Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple
Just as they were entering through the gate at which he lay, he looked at them; and though they were strangers to him, he concluded they were Israelites by their going into the temple at that time:

asked an alms;
of them; prayed them to give him something for his relief and support.

1 Or Pietro e Giovanni salivano al tempio per la preghiera dell’ora nona.

2 E si portava un certo uomo, zoppo fin dalla nascita, che ogni giorno deponevano alla porta del tempio detta "Bella", per chieder l’elemosina a coloro che entravano nel tempio.

3 Costui, veduto Pietro e Giovanni che stavan per entrare nel tempio, domandò loro l’elemosina.

4 E Pietro, con Giovanni, fissando gli occhi su lui, disse: Guarda noi!

5 Ed egli li guardava intentamente, aspettando di ricever qualcosa da loro.
