1 Reyes 4:2-12

2 Y estos fueron los príncipes que tuvo: Azarías hijo de Sadoc, sacerdote;

3 Elioreph y Ahía, hijos de Sisa, escribas; Josaphat hijo de Ahilud, canciller;

4 Benaía hijo de Joiada era sobre el ejército; y Sadoc y Abiathar eran los sacerdotes;

5 Azaría hijo de Nathán era sobre los gobernadores; Zabud hijo de Nathán era principal oficial, amigo del rey;

6 Y Ahisar era mayordomo; y Adoniram hijo de Abda era sobre el tributo.

7 Y tenía Salomón doce gobernadores sobre todo Israel, los cuales mantenían al rey y á su casa. Cada uno de ellos estaba obligado á abastecer por un mes en el año.

8 Y estos son los nombres de ellos: el hijo de Hur en el monte de Ephraim;

9 El hijo de Decar, en Maccas, y en Saalbim, y en Beth-semes, y en Elón, y en Beth-hanan;

10 El hijo de Hesed, en Aruboth; éste tenía también á Sochô y toda la tierra de Ephet.

11 El hijo de Abinadab, en todos los términos de Dor: éste tenía por mujer á Thaphat hija de Salomón;

12 Baana hijo de Ahilud, en Taanach y Megiddo, y en toda Beth-san, que es cerca de Zaretán, por bajo de Jezreel, desde Beth-san hasta Abel-mehola, y hasta la otra parte de Jocmeam;

INTRODUCTION TO FIRST KINGS 4

As in the preceding chapter we have a proof of the wisdom and understanding which the Lord gave to Solomon, as promised, so in this an account is given of the riches and honour he was possessed of; of him, as king over all Israel, and of his princes, 1Ki 4:1-6; of the providers of food for his household in the several parts of the land, 1Ki 4:7-19; of the largeness and extent of his dominions, and of the peace and prosperity thereof, 1Ki 4:20,21,24,25; of his daily provisions for his household and for his cattle, 1Ki 4:22,23,26-28; and of his superior wisdom and knowledge to all others in all nations, which brought some out of all to hear it, 1Ki 4:29-34.
