33 por cuanto me han dejado, y han adorado a Astoret diosa de los sidonios, y a Quemos dios de Moab, y a Moloc dios de los hijos de Amón; y no han andado en mis caminos, para hacer lo que es recto delante de mis ojos, y mis estatutos, y mis derechos, como hizo David su padre.

1 Kings 11:33

Because that they have forsaken me
My worship, as the Targum; both Solomon and the children of Israel following his example; which is not to be wondered at, considering how prone they always were to idolatry:

and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the
god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon;
of which deities, (See Gill on 1 Kings 11:5) (See Gill on 1 Kings 11:7).

and have not walked in my ways, to do that which is right in mine eyes,
and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as [did] David his father;
the several laws of God relating to religious worship especially, which David was a strict observer of; and therefore Solomon, having such a pattern before him, was the more blameworthy.

31 y dijo a Jeroboam: Toma para ti los diez pedazos; porque así dijo el SEÑOR Dios de Israel: He aquí que yo rompo el reino de la mano de Salomón, y a ti daré diez tribus;

32 y él tendrá una tribu, por amor de David mi siervo, y por amor de Jerusalén, ciudad que yo he elegido de todas las tribus de Israel;

33 por cuanto me han dejado, y han adorado a Astoret diosa de los sidonios, y a Quemos dios de Moab, y a Moloc dios de los hijos de Amón; y no han andado en mis caminos, para hacer lo que es recto delante de mis ojos, y mis estatutos, y mis derechos, como hizo David su padre.

34 Pero no quitaré nada de su reino de sus manos, sino que lo pondré por capitán todos los días de su vida, por amor de David mi siervo, al cual yo elegí, y él guardó mis mandamientos y mis estatutos.

35 Mas yo quitaré el reino de la mano de su hijo, y lo daré a ti, las diez tribus;
