21 Entonces el pueblo de Israel fue dividido en dos partes: la mitad del pueblo seguía a Tibni hijo de Ginat, para hacerlo rey; y la otra mitad seguía a Omri.

Then were the people of Israel divided into two parts
About the succession in the kingdom:

half the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king:
these were the friends of Zimri, or however such who did not like that the army should impose a king upon them; who this Tibni was is not said:

and half followed Omri;
the general of the army, perhaps the whole of that.

19 Por sus pecados que él había cometido, haciendo lo malo a los ojos del SEÑOR, y andando en los caminos de Jeroboam, y en su pecado que cometió, haciendo pecar a Israel.

21 Entonces el pueblo de Israel fue dividido en dos partes: la mitad del pueblo seguía a Tibni hijo de Ginat, para hacerlo rey; y la otra mitad seguía a Omri.

22 Mas el pueblo que seguía a Omri, pudo más que el que seguía a Tibni hijo de Ginat; y Tibni murió, y Omri fue rey.

23 En el año treinta y uno de Asa rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Omri sobre Israel, y reinó doce años; en Tirsa reinó seis años.
