1 Kings 9:14

And Hiram sent to the king one hundred and twenty talents
of gold.
] Not after the cities had been given him, but before; and it may be rendered "had sent" ^F13, and is the sum of the gold he furnished him with for the temple, ( 1 Kings 9:11 ) which, according to Brerewood ^F14, was 540,000 pounds of our money; and, according to another ^F15 writer, it amounted to 1,466,400 ducats of gold, taking a talent at 12,220 ducats.

12 Y salió Hiram de Tiro para ver las ciudades que Salomón le había dado, y no le contentaron.

13 Y dijo: ¿Qué ciudades son éstas que me has dado, hermano? Y les puso por nombre, la tierra de Cabul, hasta hoy.

14 E Hiram había enviado al rey ciento veinte talentos de oro.

15 Y ésta es la cuenta del tributo que el rey Salomón impuso para edificar la Casa del SEÑOR, y su casa, y a Milo, y el muro de Jerusalén, y a Hazor, y Meguido, y Gezer.

16 Faraón el rey de Egipto había subido y tomado a Gezer, y la quemó, y mató a los cananeos que habitaban la ciudad, y la había dado en don a su hija la mujer de Salomón.
