1 Reyes 8:7-15

7 Porque los querubines tenían extendidas las alas sobre el lugar del arca, y así cubrían los querubines el arca y sus varas por encima.

8 E hicieron salir las varas; que las cabezas de las varas se dejaban ver desde el santuario que estaba delante del oratorio, mas no se veían desde afuera; y así se quedaron hasta hoy.

9 En el arca ninguna cosa había además de las dos tablas de piedra que había allí puesto Moisés en Horeb, cuando el SEÑOR hizo la alianza con los hijos de Israel, cuando salieron de la tierra de Egipto.

10 Y cuando los sacerdotes salieron del santuario, la nube llenó la Casa del SEÑOR.

11 Y los sacerdotes no pudieron estar para ministrar por causa de la nube; porque la gloria del SEÑOR había llenado la Casa del SEÑOR.

12 Entonces dijo Salomón: El SEÑOR ha dicho que él habitaría en la oscuridad (de la nube de su tabernáculo ).

13 Yo he edificado casa por morada para ti, asiento en que tú habites para siempre.

14 Y volviendo el rey su rostro, bendijo a toda la congregación de Israel; y toda la congregación de Israel estaba en pie.

15 Y dijo: Bendito sea el SEÑOR Dios de Israel, que habló de su boca a David mi padre, y con su mano lo ha cumplido, diciendo:

INTRODUCTION TO 1 KINGS 8

This chapter gives an account of the introduction of the ark into the temple, 1Ki 8:1-9 of the glory of the Lord filling it, 1Ki 8:10,11 of a speech Solomon made to the people concerning the building of the temple, and how he came to be engaged in it, 1Ki 8:12-21, of a prayer of his he put up on this occasion, requesting, that what supplications soever were made at any time, or on any account, by Israelites or strangers, might be accepted by the Lord, 1Ki 8:22-53, and of his blessing the people of Israel at the close of it, with some useful exhortations, 1Ki 8:54-61, and of the great number of sacrifices offered up by him, and the feast he made for the people, upon which he dismissed them, 1Ki 8:62-66.
