2 Crónicas 20:20

20 Y cuando se levantaron por la mañana, salieron por el desierto de Tecoa. Y mientras ellos salían, Josafat estando en pie, dijo: Oídme, Judá y moradores de Jerusalén. Creed al SEÑOR vuestro Dios, y seréis seguros; creed a sus profetas, y seréis prosperados.

2 Chronicles 20:20

And they rose early in the morning
Being confident of success, animated by what the prophet said to them: and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa;
which, according to Jerom {u}, was six miles from Bethlehem, and nine from Jerusalem, some say twelve, beyond which was nothing but a desert; it was part of the wilderness of Judah: and as they went forth;
out of Jerusalem, through one of the gates of it: Jehoshaphat stood and said, believe in the Lord your God;
in the promises he had made, particularly with respect to the victory over their present enemies; the Targum is,

``in the Word of the Lord your God:''

so shall you be established;
have courage and firmness of mind, as well as be safe and secure: believe his prophets;
sent by him, and that speak in his name, particularly Jahaziel, who had predicted victory to them: so shall ye prosper;
things will succeed to your wishes, and beyond your expectations.

18 Entonces Josafat se inclinó rostro a tierra, y asimismo todo Judá y los moradores de Jerusalén se postraron delante del SEÑOR, y adoraron al SEÑOR.

19 Y se levantaron los levitas de los hijos de Coat y de los hijos de Coré, para alabar al SEÑOR el Dios de Israel a grande y alta voz.

21 Y habido consejo con el pueblo, puso a algunos que cantasen al SEÑOR, y alabasen en la hermosura de la santidad, mientras que salía la gente armada, y dijesen: Confesad al SEÑOR, porque su misericordia es para siempre.

22 Y cuando comenzaron con clamor y con alabanza, puso el SEÑOR a los hijos de Moab y los del monte de Seir para que asechasen a los hijos de Amón, que venían contra Judá, y se mataron los unos a los otros .
