17 Y comenzaron a santificar al primero del mes primero, y a los ocho del mismo mes vinieron al pórtico del SEÑOR; y santificaron la Casa del SEÑOR en ocho días, y a los dieciséis del mes primero acabaron.

2 Chronicles 29:17

Now they began on the first day of the first month to
sanctify
Either of the reign of King Hezekiah, or rather of the year; the month Ab or Nisan, as the Targum expresses it: and on the eighth of the month came they to the porch of the Lord;
they seem to have begun cleansing the inner part of the temple first, and so came forward until they came to the porch which led into it: so they sanctified the house of the Lord in eight days;
the holy place, and it may be the most holy place, and the court of the priests: and on the sixteenth day of the first month they made an end;
it took them eight days more to cleanse the outward porch, and the buildings and chambers belonging to the temple; according to Jarchi, it required so much time, because Ahaz had framed pictures of idols upon the walls of the temple, which could not be defaced sooner.

15 Estos juntaron a sus hermanos, y se santificaron, y entraron, conforme al mandamiento del rey y las palabras del SEÑOR, para limpiar la Casa del SEÑOR.

16 Y entrando los sacerdotes dentro de la Casa del SEÑOR para limpiarla, quitaron toda la inmundicia que hallaron en el templo del SEÑOR, en el atrio de la Casa del SEÑOR; la cual tomaron los levitas, para sacarla fuera al arroyo de Cedrón.

17 Y comenzaron a santificar al primero del mes primero, y a los ocho del mismo mes vinieron al pórtico del SEÑOR; y santificaron la Casa del SEÑOR en ocho días, y a los dieciséis del mes primero acabaron.

18 Y entraron al rey Ezequías y le dijeron: Ya hemos limpiado toda la Casa del SEÑOR, el altar del holocausto, y todos sus vasos, y la mesa de la proposición con todos sus vasos.

19 Asimismo hemos preparado y santificado todos los vasos que el rey Acaz había maltratado en el tiempo que reinó habiendo apostatado; y he aquí están todos delante del altar del SEÑOR.
