Afterward he brought me to the gate
The dimensions of this wonderful building being finished, the prophet's divine guide brought him from the wall about it, he had last measured, to the gate he first had him to, after he had observed to him the same wall, ( Ezekiel 40:5 Ezekiel 40:6 ) : even the gate that looketh toward the east;
or, as the Targum, which was open to the way of the east. The reason of his being brought hither follows.

1 Me llev贸 luego a la puerta, a la puerta que mira hacia el oriente;
2 Y he aqu铆 la Gloria del Dios de Israel, que ven铆a hacia el oriente; y su sonido era como el sonido de muchas aguas, y la tierra resplandec铆a a causa de su gloria.
3 Y la visi贸n que vi era como la visi贸n, como aquella visi贸n que vi cuando vine para destruir la ciudad; y las visiones eran como la visi贸n que vi junto al r铆o de Quebar; y ca铆 sobre mi rostro.
4 Y la Gloria del SE脩OR entr贸 en la Casa por la v铆a de la puerta que daba cara al oriente.
5 Y me alz贸 el Esp铆ritu, y me meti贸 en el atrio de adentro; y he aqu铆 que la Gloria del SE脩OR llen贸 la Casa.
