4 Y alzando velas desde allí, navegamos bajo de Chipre, porque los vientos eran contrarios.

Acts 27:4

And when we had launched from thence
From Sidon:

we sailed under Cyprus, because the winds were contrary;
that is, they sailed below the island of Cyprus; of which see ( Acts 4:36 ) ( 13:4 ) whereas if the wind had been right for them, they would have sailed above the island; leaving it on the right hand, in a straight course to Myra; but now they were obliged to go below it, leaving it on the left hand, going in part about it, through the seas of Cilicia and Pamphylia to Lycia, as follows.

2 Así que, embarcándonos en la nave Adrumentina, alzamos velas , estando con nosotros Aristarco, Macedonio de Tesalónica, comenzando a navegar junto a los lugares de Asia.
3 Al otro día llegamos a Sidón; y Julio, tratando a Pablo humanamente, le permitió que fuese a los amigos, para ser de ellos asistido.
4 Y alzando velas desde allí, navegamos bajo de Chipre, porque los vientos eran contrarios.
5 Y habiendo pasado el mar de Cilicia y Panfilia, arribamos a Mira, ciudad de Licia.
6 Y hallando allí el centurión una nave Alejandrina que navegaba a Italia, nos puso en ella.
