Isaiah 38:2

Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall
Not figuratively to the wall of his heart, as Jerom; but literally, either to the wall of his bedchamber where he lay sick, that his tears might not be seen, and his prayers interrupted, and that he might deliver them with more privacy, freedom, and fervency; or else to the wall of the temple, as the Targum, towards which good men used to look when they prayed, ( 1 Kings 8:38 ) ( Daniel 6:10 ) , which was a type of Christ, to whom we should have respect in all our petitions, as being the only Mediator between God and man: and prayed unto the Lord; as follows:

1 En aquellos días cayó Ezequías enfermo para morir; y vino a él Isaías Profeta, hijo de Amoz, y le dijo: El SEÑOR dice así: Ordena tu casa, porque tú morirás, y no vivirás.

2 Entonces volvió Ezequías su rostro a la pared, e hizo oración al SEÑOR.

3 Y dijo: Oh SEÑOR, te ruego te acuerdes ahora que he andado delante de ti en verdad y con íntegro corazón; y que he hecho lo que ha sido agradable delante de tus ojos. Y lloró Ezequías con gran lloro.

4 Entonces vino palabra del SEÑOR a Isaías, diciendo:

5 Ve, y di a Ezequías: El SEÑOR Dios de David tu padre dice así: Tu oración he oído, y tus lágrimas he visto; he aquí que yo añado a tus días quince años.
