8 Mas no oyeron, ni inclinaron su oído, antes se fueron cada uno tras la imaginación de su corazón malvado; por tanto, traeré sobre ellos todas las palabras de este Pacto, el cual mandé que cumpliesen, y no lo cumplieron.

Jeremiah 11:8

Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear
Though they had such strong solicitations and fair warnings, and these repeated again and again; all which was an aggravation of their disobedience and stubbornness: but walked everyone in the imagination of their evil heart;
which is desperately wicked, and is evil, and that continually, even every imagination of it; wherefore walking herein must be very wide and different from walking in the law of the Lord, and obeying that; see ( Jeremiah 3:17 ) ( 7:24 ) : therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant;
that is, all the curses and threatenings denounced in it against the disobedient; and so the Targum,

``and I brought upon them vengeance (or punishment) because they received not the words of this covenant:''

which I commanded them to do, but they did them not; because they did not do the commands of the law, therefore the curses of it lighted on them; for the words of the preceding clause may be rendered, "and I brought upon them" ^F8; and it is suggested that the like punishment would be inflicted on the present generation, they imitating and pursuing the iniquities of their fathers; as follows:

6 Y el SEÑOR me dijo: Pregona todas estas palabras en las ciudades de Judá y en las plazas de Jerusalén, diciendo: Oíd las palabras de este Pacto, y ponedlas por obra.

7 Porque con eficacia protesté a vuestros padres el día que los hice subir de la tierra de Egipto hasta el día de hoy, madrugando y protestando, diciendo: Oíd mi voz.

8 Mas no oyeron, ni inclinaron su oído, antes se fueron cada uno tras la imaginación de su corazón malvado; por tanto, traeré sobre ellos todas las palabras de este Pacto, el cual mandé que cumpliesen, y no lo cumplieron.

9 Y me dijo el SEÑOR: Conjuración se ha hallado en los varones de Judá, y en los moradores de Jerusalén.

10 Se han vuelto a las maldades de sus primeros padres, los cuales no quisieron escuchar mis palabras, antes se fueron tras dioses ajenos para servirles; la Casa de Israel y la Casa de Judá invalidaron mi Pacto, el cual yo había concertado con sus padres.
