1 Estos, pues, son los gentiles que dejó el SEÑOR para probar con ellos a Israel, a todos aquellos que no habían conocido todas las guerras de Canaán;

Judges 3:1

Now these [are] the nations which the Lord left to prove
Israel by them
Which are later mentioned, ( Judges 3:3 Judges 3:5 ) ;

[even] as many [of Israel] as had not known all the wars of Canaan;
those that Joshua, and the people of Israel under him, had with the Canaanites, when they first entered the land and subdued it; being then not born, or so young as not to have knowledge of them, at least not able to bear arms at that time.

1 Estos, pues, son los gentiles que dejó el SEÑOR para probar con ellos a Israel, a todos aquellos que no habían conocido todas las guerras de Canaán;

2 solamente los dejó para que el linaje de los hijos de Israel conociese, y para enseñarlos en la guerra, solamente a los que antes no la habían conocido:

3 Cinco príncipes de los filisteos, y todos los cananeos, y los sidonios, y los heveos que habitaban en el monte Líbano, desde el monte de Baal-hermón hasta llegar a Hamat.

4 Estos, pues, fueron dejados para probar por ellos a Israel, para saber si escucharían los mandamientos del SEÑOR, que él había mandado a sus padres por mano de Moisés.

5 Y como los hijos de Israel habitaban entre los cananeos, heteos, amorreos, ferezeos, heveos, y jebuseos,
