Jueces 3:7-11

7 Hicieron, pues, los hijos de Israel lo malo en ojos del SEÑOR; y olvidados del SEÑOR su Dios, sirvieron a los baales, y a Astarot.

8 Y la saña del SEÑOR se encendió contra Israel, y los vendió en manos de Cusan-risataim rey de Mesopotamia; y sirvieron los hijos de Israel a Cusan-risataim ocho años.

9 Y clamaron los hijos de Israel al SEÑOR; y el SEÑOR despertó un salvador a los hijos de Israel y los libró; es a saber , a Otoniel hijo de Cenaz, hermano menor de Caleb.

10 Y el Espíritu del SEÑOR vino sobre él, y juzgó a Israel, y salió a batalla, y el SEÑOR entregó en su mano a Cusan-risataim, rey de Siria, y prevaleció su mano contra Cusan-risataim.

11 Y reposó la tierra cuarenta años; y murió Otoniel, hijo de Cenaz.

INTRODUCTION TO JUDGES 3

This chapter gives an account of the nations left in Canaan to prove Israel, and who became a snare unto them, Jud 3:1-7; and of the servitude of Israel under the king of Mesopotamia for their sins, from which they were delivered by Othniel, Jud 3:8-11; and of their subjection to the Moabites, from which they were freed by Ehud, who privately assassinated the king of Moab, and then made his escape, Jud 3:12-30; and of the destruction of a large number of Philistines by Shamgar, with an ox goad, Jud 3:31.
