25 y les soltó a aquel que había sido echado en la cárcel por sedición y una muerte, al cual habían pedido; y entregó a Jesús a la voluntad de ellos.

Luke 23:25

And he released unto them, him
Barabbas, who is not named, as being a detestable person, and unworthy to be named; and is therefore described by the infamous, though just character of him, as follows:

that for sedition and murder was cast into prison,
as in ( Luke 23:19 )

whom they had desired;
to be granted to them, and released; see ( Acts 3:14 )

but he delivered Jesus to their will;
to do as they would with him, to mock, and scourge, and crucify him.

23 Mas ellos instaban a grandes voces, pidiendo que fuese colgado de un madero. Y las voces de ellos y de los príncipes de los sacerdotes crecían.
24 Entonces Pilato juzgó que se hiciese lo que ellos pedían;
25 y les soltó a aquel que había sido echado en la cárcel por sedición y una muerte, al cual habían pedido; y entregó a Jesús a la voluntad de ellos.
26 Y llevándole, tomaron a un Simón cireneo, que venía del campo, y le pusieron encima el madero para que la llevase tras Jesús.
27 Y le seguía una grande multitud del pueblo, y de mujeres, las cuales le lloraban y lamentaban.
