22 Mas él, entristecido por esta palabra, se fue triste, porque tenía muchas posesiones.

Mark 10:22

And, he was sad at that saying
That he lacked one thing, and especially that he should be bid to sell all that he had, and give it away; and what might add to his sadness is, that he must take up the cross of reproach, affliction, persecution, and death; his countenance fell upon this,

and went away grieved:
finding that he must part with two things his heart was set upon, his idol of self-righteousness, and his mammon of unrighteousness; the bladder of his pride was pricked, and his vanity and self-conceit were exposed; and he was called upon to part with his substance; all which were sadly mortifying, and exceedingly disagreeable to him:

for he had great possessions; (See Gill on Matthew 19:22).

20 El entonces respondiendo, le dijo: Maestro, todo esto he guardado desde mi juventud.
21 Entonces Jesús mirándole, le amó, y le dijo: Una cosa te falta: ve, vende todo lo que tienes, y da a los pobres, y tendrás tesoro en el cielo; y ven, sígueme, tomando tu madero (si quieres ser perfecto).
22 Mas él, entristecido por esta palabra, se fue triste, porque tenía muchas posesiones.
23 Entonces Jesús, mirando alrededor, dice a sus discípulos: ¡Cuán difícilmente entrarán en el Reino de Dios los que tienen riquezas!
24 Y los discípulos se espantaron de sus palabras; mas Jesús respondiendo, les volvió a decir: ¡Hijos, cuán difícil es entrar en el Reino de Dios, los que confían en las riquezas!
