13 Porque fue sobornado para hacerme temer así, y que pecase, y les sirviera de mal nombre con que fuera yo infamado.

Nehemiah 6:13

Therefore was he hired, that I should be afraid, and do so,
and sin
By distrusting the power and providence of God to protect him, and by going into such a part of the temple, which he, being no priest, had no right to go into:

and that they might have matter for an evil report, that they might
reproach me;
as a rebel and traitor against the king, which had been reported of him, and which would be strengthened by such a step.

11 Entonces dije: ¿Un hombre como yo ha de huir? ¿Y quién hay como yo que entre al templo y viva? No entraré.

12 Y entendí que Dios no lo había enviado, sino que hablaba aquella profecía contra mí, porque Tobías y Sanbalat le habían alquilado por salario.

13 Porque fue sobornado para hacerme temer así, y que pecase, y les sirviera de mal nombre con que fuera yo infamado.

14 Acuérdate, Dios mío, de Tobías y de Sanbalat, conforme a estas obras suyos, y también de Noadías profetisa, y de los otros profetas que hacían por ponerme miedo.

15 Se terminó pues el muro el veinticinco del mes de Elul, en cincuenta y dos días.
