Génesis 6:1-8

1 Y acaeci贸 que , cuando comenzaron los hombres a multiplicarse sobre la faz de la tierra, y les nacieron hijas,
2 viendo los hijos de Dios las hijas de los hombres que eran hermosas, tomaron mujeres, escogiendo entre todas.
3 Y dijo el SE脩OR: No contender谩 mi esp铆ritu con el hombre para siempre, porque ciertamente 茅l es carne; mas ser谩n sus d铆as ciento veinte a帽os.
4 Hab铆a gigantes en la tierra en aquellos d铆as; y tambi茅n despu茅s que entraron los hijos de Dios a las hijas de los hombres, y les engendraron hijos , 茅stos fueron los valientes, que desde la antig眉edad fueron varones de nombre.
5 Y vio el SE脩OR que la malicia de los hombres era mucha sobre la tierra, y que todo el intento de los pensamientos del coraz贸n de ellos ciertamente era malo todo el tiempo.
6 Y se arrepinti贸 el SE脩OR de haber hecho hombre en la tierra, y le pes贸 en su coraz贸n.
7 Y dijo el SE脩OR: Raer茅 los hombres que he creado de sobre la faz de la tierra, desde el hombre hasta la bestia, y hasta el animal y hasta el ave de los cielos; porque me arrepiento de haberlos hecho.
8 Pero No茅 hall贸 gracia en los ojos del SE脩OR.

Génesis 6:1-8 Meaning and Commentary

INTRODUCTION TO GENESIS 6

This chapter gives an account of the wickedness of the old world, both among the profane and the professors of religion, which was taken notice of and resented by God, upon which he determined the destruction of it, Ge 6:1-7 only one man, Noah, is excepted, who found favour with God, and whose character is given, Ge 6:8-10 and to whom was observed by God the general corruption of the earth, Ge 6:11-13 and to whom he gave orders and directions for the building an ark for himself, and his family, being determined to destroy the earth with a flood, and all creatures in it, Ge 6:14-17 only he would preserve him and his wife, his three sons and their wives, and two of every living creature, for which, and for himself and his family, he was to take food into the ark when built, Ge 6:18-21 and the chapter is concluded with observing, that Noah did as he was commanded, Ge 6:22.
