Psalms 54:2

Hear my prayer, O God
The psalmist first puts up his petitions, and then desires to be heard; his distress, and the fervency of his spirit, not suffering him to observe order;

give ear to the words of my mouth;
for the prayer which was conceived in his mind, and inwrought there by the Spirit of God, was expressed vocally.

1 Al Vencedor: en Neginot: Masquil de David, cuando vinieron los zifeos y dijeron a Saúl: ¿No está David escondido en nuestra tierra? Oh Dios, sálvame en tu Nombre, y con tu valentía defiéndeme.

2 Oh Dios, oye mi oración; escucha las razones de mi boca.

3 Porque extraños se han levantado contra mí, y fuertes buscan mi alma; no han puesto a Dios delante de sí. (Selah.)

4 He aquí, Dios es el que me ayuda; el Señor es con los que sustentan mi alma.

5 El volverá el mal a mis enemigos; córtalos por tu verdad.
