2 Chronicles 29:2

2 And Hezekiah did that, that was pleasing in the sight of the Lord, by all things that David, his father, had done. (And Hezekiah did what was pleasing before the Lord, by all the things that his forefather David had done.)

2 Chronicles 29:2 Meaning and Commentary

2 Chronicles 29:13

And this [is] the law of the Nazarite
This has respect either to what goes before; those are the things he is obliged to that vows the vow of a Nazarite; what he is to abstain from during the time of his vow, and what he is to do in case of any defilement; or to what follows after, what is binding upon him, what offerings he is to bring, and what rites and ceremonies are to be observed by him when he has finished his vow:

when the days of his separation,
or Nazariteship,

are fulfilled;
whether more or fewer; when the time is quite up, and he has gone through his vow without any breach of it:

he shall be brought unto the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation;
it is not said by whom he should be brought, whether by himself or by the priest; the Targum of Jonathan is,

``he shall bring himself;''

that is, present himself; and so Jarchi and Aben Ezra; which latter adds, or the priest shall bring him by command, whether he will or not, to offer his offering.

2 Chronicles 29:2 In-Context

1 And Hezekiah began to reign, when he was of five and twenty years, and he reigned in Jerusalem nine and twenty years (And Hezekiah began to reign, when he was twenty-five years old, and he reigned in Jerusalem for twenty-nine years); the name of his mother was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah.
2 And Hezekiah did that, that was pleasing in the sight of the Lord, by all things that David, his father, had done. (And Hezekiah did what was pleasing before the Lord, by all the things that his forefather David had done.)
3 In that year, and in the first month of his realm, he opened the gates of the house of the Lord, and restored, or repaired, those gates;
4 and he brought (in) the priests, and deacons (and the Levites), and he gathered them together into the east street,
5 and said to them, Sons of Levi, hear ye me, and be ye hallowed; cleanse ye the house of the Lord God of your fathers; and do ye away all uncleanness from the saintuary. (and said to them, Sons of Levi/Levites, listen ye to me, and be ye consecrated, or purified, now; and cleanse ye the House of the Lord God of your fathers; and do ye away all uncleanness from the sanctuary.)
