2 God spoke further to Moses and said to him, "I am 1the LORD; 3 and I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as a2God Almighty, but by 3My name, bLORD, I did not make Myself known to them. 4 "I also established 4My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the cland in which they sojourned. 5 "Furthermore I have 5heard the groaning of the sons of Israel, because the Egyptians are holding them in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant. 6 "Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, '6I am the LORD, and 7I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage. I will also 8redeem you with 9an outstretched arm and with great judgments. 7 'Then I will take you d10for My people, and 11I will be eyour God; and 12you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. 8 'I will bring you to the land which 13I fswore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and 14I will give it to you for a possession; 15I am the LORD.'
