Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:
And into whatsoever house ye enter , first say , Peace be to this house.
And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again .
Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
Saying , Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
Saying , If thou hadst known , even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
And as they thus spake , Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
