Found (euren). Second aorist active indicative of euriskw. That he had been in the tomb four days already (auton tessara hdh hmera econta). Literally, "him (accusative object of euren) having already four days in the tomb." See Matthew 5:5 for the same idiom (eth ecwn) for expression of time (having 38 years). In Jewish custom burial took place on the day of death ( Acts 6:6 Acts 6:10 ).
