Many of us fill our lives with being busy but soon find that all those activities just don't satisfy. Busyness keeps us away from taking the time to read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest God’s Word.

One of the things that matters most to Jesus is our personal relationship with Him. This matters to Him even when it doesn’t matter to us! He offers the human race an incredible invitation. He says, “Let’s talk.” What does this mean? It involves listening to His Word and responding in prayer.


Imagine having Jesus over for dinner? How do you think you’d react? Perhaps you’d instantly go into work mode… cleaning house, preparing an excellent feast and making sure He’s comfortable and well served. While all of that is great, we’ll learn the value of simply sitting at His feet and listening to Him. Pastor John draws our attention to a couple of sisters who took very different approaches to the Lord when He came over for dinner.
